OK! The gauntlet has been thrown, a challenge is about, from the lovely XFallenXAngelX [link]

And the challenge is:
"To produce one quality piece each and every month for 12 months"

Wow! don't know if I can do it, considering my production for the last 6 months has been reduced to 1 piece, a good piece yes indeed but still it is only 1.
But then again maybe it is the spur of inspiration I need to get at it and quit making excuses. Since there is no restriction on what creative medium is used then I may have a chance to succeed.

Anyone else want to join in???

I finally had a chance to do some drawing, just a little bit, but I focused on trying to implement some new techniques that fellow dA'er Whizzywhizzer, [link] , so generously shared. Although, I can never hope to aspire to be a gifted as Whizzy, I am pleased with my results thus far, enough so that I spent 2 hours today fooling around with this old laptop and getting the scanner to work (terribly frustrating to say the least), so I can upload my latest creation. Hope you all enjoy and I am looking for some serious feedback. Thanks

Yikes! I'm having serious computer troubles...seems the power supply is fried on my Laptop and my old back up (the one I am using at the moment) has "virtual memory" issues and is not very reliable.
At this point I have not been able to get a tech to look at either system. I'm not sure if I can swing buying a new computer and if I do it'll be a while getting here. *sigh*
All this translates into not necessarily being able to get online regularly or crashing in the middle of whatever I'm doing
My coffee maker is broken too.

July 11, 2009 - Update
Ok so I got a new coffee maker as a gift for Mothers Day...Yay!!!
However there is no chance for a new computer any time soon, too many other life disasters have come along to prevent it. If I do ever get the funds together for a new system I'll also have to get a another scanner/printer 'cause the one I have won't work with the new operating program MS Vista or whatever they are calling it now. I can't get it to scan with this older laptop either so even if I had some new artwork to upload I wouldn't be able. It's all just depressing.

Lambing is done!

Felt like I should change my journal since it was over a month old but don't have much to say other than...
- I've been very busy but not feeling like I am accomplishing anything of significance and only just now have had a chance to look at my life...
- haven't had time or inspiration to create any art I can post here...
- did create some awesome costumes for some folks going this weekend to Sakuracon (Anime convention)in Seattle... (hopefully someone will post photos of the event)

Otherwise life is boring just full of work and no friends or socializing so I wouldn't mind chatting if someone wants to discuss something that's on their minds

...with lambing this season. We have 12 lovely thriving lambs running around the fields and enjoying the sun...just waiting on a couple of later ones to arrive.

It's been so busy I haven't had much time for sketching and what I have done is less than satisfactory...hopefully now that the weather has changed and the lambing is almost over, things will settle into a routine again, I will get a chance to focus on some drawing...hmmm...although the garden is starting to call for my attention too, *sigh*...soon, very soon
