As I mentioned previously, it's a new year which tends to bring feelings of the desire for new beginnings and changes, hopefully for the better...however, that does not always occur no matter how much we want to see things change. Perseverance is usually how I accomplish anything, pure determination to see it through.

The old adages...
"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!"
"Don't try...do"

I think both of these are appropriate this day.

My New Year usually is quickly followed by a new season of lambs in the barn. A harbinger of life and change if there ever was one...
Last year was not what we would call a good year as we had far too many deaths for our small flock (one death is too many as far as I'm concerned) and although we took every step possible to prevent problems at that time and to learn from it for the future...our season has started off again this year with similar results. To say I'm discouraged is an understatement but we must continue, we have no choice, giving up is not an option... there are many that are alive and thriving that are counting on us to be there for them.

Perseverance, keep at it, don't give up...it'll all work out right in the end. We don't really have control over very much. We just do the best we can and that is considerable.
